Birthday Post

Hi girls!

It’s been a while since I wrote a blogpost (oops!) which mainly had to do with the fact that I was busy with my graduation assignment, work and everything in between!

Buttt I’m back and really excited to write about all the things I didn’t tell you about. The first ‘comeback post’ will be about my 25th birthday, which I celebrated the 17th of november. I spend this whole weekend in Amsterdam, one of my favorite cities, and did some fun things. That Saturday I woke up at home and after breakfast I got my first present from my sis! It was a gorgeous bag I wanted for so long and which immediately adds a new vibe to your outfit. Then we drove to Amsterdam and after 1,5 hours we walked around the city centre of this gorgeous city. First of all, we visited the beautiful canal house Bartolotti with lovely decorated rooms. After this it was time for some lunch at Bijenkorf and ofcourse shooting some outfit photos ;) I brought 5 outfits with me for these two days so I had to change my look several times a day haha. The final outfit of the first day was my pink ‘birthday suit’, which looked great with my new bag. In the afternoon we also went to Madame Tussauds and I shot some great pictures with George Clooney, Zayn Malik, Johnny Depp and many more!

After visiting Madame Tussauds it was time to leave the city for that day and we went to the hotel. I stayed at the Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam – Amstel, a hotel that was only open for two months. When we booked this hotel they said the whole wellness centre would also be open, but unfortunately it wasn’t finished when we arrived there. Well, in the end it wasn’t that bad because I didn’t really had time to go to this wellness centre. That evening I had a lovely dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, I received some presents, had a little bit of wine and I did some crazy dancing around the room xp Some of the things I got were: Calvin Klein underwear and socks, Hunkemoller loungewear, Amsterdam decoration stuff, books about fashion, unicorn stuff and shopping money!

That Sunday (day 2), we started with a breakfast at the hotel. At first, it didn’t look like there was much to choose from for me (I’m lactose-intolerant), even though we told them several times before I’m lactose-intolerant. They said there was no bread I could eat, but then after asking a few people, one guy found out he could give me some gluten free bread that was also lactosefree. Even though that was only one type of bread, I was still satisfied because he was really friendly and willing to help me. Soooo, after breakfast it was time for one of my favorite activities: spending the shopping money I received! I bought some winter accessories at Hudson’s Bay and some other things. In between the shopping we also ate at Bijenkorf again, but this time I chose some delicious rice and chicken. At the end of the day we also went to A’DAM Lookout where we had a gorgeous view over Amsterdam. After this it was time to drive back home and get back to my normal life again.
