Hi!
How have you all been the past few years? I’m so curious to know and I’m happy to say that I am back! Back to writing blogposts once a week.
I honestly even don’t know where to start. How do you summarize all the things you’ve experienced the past three years? Well, let’s give it a try. In 2020, I got some kind of a mental breakdown. I didn’t really knew what I wanted in life and all of a sudden I started to ask myself ‘big life questions’. This was also the year I stopped writing posts for my fashionblog. I continued creating content for my Instagram account though. At times this costed me a lot of effort, other times it brought me peace of mind. One of my major collabs was working with Calvin Klein, I really loved this and some of my pictures even ended on their website or Instagram page (this was in 2020/2021). Another major thing that happened in 2020 (to the entire world) was COVID-19. For me personally, it felt like slowly all the freedom was taken away from me. Piece by piece. The world felt like a scary place, an unsafe place. It felt like my world became so small. As 2020 passed by and 2021 started, COVID-19 and the restrictions where still there. I still didn’t feel that great, but slowly I started to get used to this new ‘life with Corona’. 2022 was a year with still some mental health struggles for me, with ups and downs. Currently, I can truly say I feel a lot better: stronger, much more positive and ready to conquer the world :)
Some of the things I did the past three years:
- Went on a solo trip to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo in October 2021 (I will write a blogpost about this soon)
- Went on some shorter trips to Amsterdam
- Started with yoga (almost daily)
- Started with positive affirmations
- Started with workouts to get stronger
- Got more into spirituality
- Tried a few jobs
- Quit these jobs
- Tried online dating (it wasn’t for me)
- Moved into my first ever rental apartment
- Moved back in with my parents
- Made a bucketlist
- Did some small things from this list
- Wrote my own fantasy book for children aged 10-13 (a big item from my bucket list)
- Started a 3-month home study in fashion (just a few days ago!)
- Rediscovered myself (in some kind of way) and my passions
Yes, for the outside world it may look like there hasn’t changed that much in my life. Yes, I still didn’t find my true love. Yes, I didn’t find my dream job. Yes, I still live with my parents. But….in the end I did find myself (I know this sounds cheesy, but it’s true)♥
