Hi darlings!
How are you feeling today? I’m feeling great and I’m already pretty used to living in the big city :)
So, the past week flew by! I don’t even know where to begin, so I’ll just start with Monday (or maybe I’ll start with the weekend, hihi). Those days I’ve spent with my mom & dad: one day in the small village I’m originally from and one day in Amsterdam. That Sunday we had an amazing lunch at Van der Valk Amstel & I finally bought a tv, some wall decoration and a glass vase with artificial flowers. It was a bit difficult to say goodbye to my parents at the end of the day: but after a few hours I was used to being alone in my studio again.
The next day when I woke up I felt excited for the upcoming week: I had so many fun things planned! The weather forecast was also amazing: sunny a.k.a. spring vibes! So, I’ve visited the roof of the Nieuwe Kerk, Dam Square, De Bijenkorf, Westerkerk, Rijksmuseum + gardens, Vondelpark, National Maritime Museum & Haarlem. Next to this, I’ve discovered so many new cute streets & shops (an organic supermarket for example). Another thing I really liked is the fact that I’ve had some small conversations with random people: helping tourists finding their way or talking to an older lady who lived here her entire life and wished me all the best. Finally, I also tried a relaxing aerial yoga class for the first time and I loved it!
Some highlights of this week: cycling for the first time in Amsterdam & reading a book on a sunny day in the Rijksmuseum gardens (I felt so lucky and blessed).
Ohh, I also said in my previous blog post I would tell you all about my trial lesson Tai Chi! Well, it wasn’t for me. I missed some kind of a flow and really thought it was more about flowy movements and energy (chi), ‘meditation in motion’. This trial lesson was a lot about self-defense, something that doesn’t appeal to me. So, I’ll stay with yoga instead :)
While I’m writing this, I’m slowly getting ready for the weekend. This evening I’ll travel to my parents to spend the weekend with them. More about that next week!
Sending lots of love & keep sprinkling kindness everywhere you go♥️
