Amsterdam Stories: Parents Coming Over, Food Festival & More

Hi darlings!

How are you? I’m currently enjoying the sunny weather! It really feels like summertime started.

First, let me tell you all about last Sunday: my parents came over :) They arrived around 10:45 and I couldn’t wait to show them around. But .. first we had a small lunch at my place. You can’t explore a city on an empty stomach, right? After our lunch we hopped onto the tram for our first stop: Paradiso. It’s a famous music venue & cultural place, built in 1880 as a religious building. That Sunday they hosted a small vintage market (DJ included!). I loved visiting this building for the first time and enjoyed the music. Then we visited Leidseplein and took a seat in the ITA Brasserie. I ordered a piece of vegan chocolate cake and couldn’t be happier (I’m lactose intolerant, so I don’t eat cake or pie a lot). After our lovely experience we headed towards our next stop: the roof of the Nieuwe Kerk. From there we had a beautiful view over the city (even though it was a quite windy). We ended the day with a visit to the Bartolotti House & a dinner at my place.

On Monday I decided to visit the free Lepeltje Lepeltje food festival. I traveled to Central Station and from there I took the ferry to the NDSM Wharf. The trip itself was worth it already (loved the views over the IJ!). From there it was only a short walk to the food festival. And … I loved the nice vibe, with market stalls, yummy foods and live music. The rest of the week was filled with practicing yoga, meditating, buying a present for my dad (Father’s Day) at The Bijenkorf, visiting the Rijksmuseum + Gardens, visiting Museum De Dageraad and the free Botanic Garden Zuidas. I also strolled through lovely neigbourhoods/areas, like De Pijp, Nine Little Streets and Oud-Zuid. Ohhh, I also picked up practicing Reiki again :)

Now on to a kind of major topic by now: job hunting. All my efforts still didn’t pay off, But … I do have some new job interviews coming up. One next week and one in 1.5 weeks. I’m really looking forward to them, since they are traineeships (so, lots of opportunities for growth and meeting new people!). Wish me luck and I’ll tell you more about my job hunting progress next week. Some more exciting news: I get more fun collabs since I live here in beautiful Amsterdam. I really love this and enjoy creating content while strolling through the city :)

Well, have a lovely sunny weekend & trust that in the end everything will work out! My advice for this week would be: keep connecting with your intuition. Your intuition knows the way♥️
