Hi darlings!
It’s Thursday evening when I’m writing this, which means: weekend has started (for me, yayy)! How are you doing? Do you need to work one more day or are you already busy making plans for the weekend? My weekend is packed with fun stuff!
So, I can’t wait to tell you all about my first week at work! Yes, I already started last Friday with a short introduction at the office, but that was not really work ;) Okay, since it’s a traineeship I got the chance to study all week from home. I didn’t really study from home, though. I found the best place to study: in the biggest library of Amsterdam! Last Monday when I was on my way to this place, I suddenly felt so much happiness and gratitude in my entire body … and it hasn’t left ever since that moment. It’s just that this was my dream for so long and I can’t believe this dream really came true: living and working in Amsterdam. So, if you would ask me right now: ‘How was your first working week?’, I would say: ‘Amazing!’ :)
Not only did I have a great working week: my weekend was also wonderful! Last Saturday, I visited the sand sculptures exhibition in Garderen with my parents. Their theme this year was: 750 years of Amsterdam. So, I couldn’t miss this one (hihi!). Afterwards, we went to a restaurant wear I had a yummy vegan chickpea burger and sweet potato fries. The next morning we traveled to Utrecht, because I really wanted to treat my parents on a well-deserved lunch at the restaurant of De Bijenkorf. Ohh, we also visited the Botanic Gardens Zuidas. I’ve already been there once, but I really wanted to show my parents. You’d almost forget you’re in the capital city when you walk around there. Later that day we just had a super basic dinner at my place, after which my parents traveled back home.
Then there’s just one more thing I want to say to you: never give up on your dreams. Those dreams are planted in your heart for a reason♥️
