Hi darlings!
Oh my gosh. I can’t believe it’s Sunday evening already! How are you doing? I can’t wait to tell you all about the fun stuff I did this weekend.
But … first about work. I bet you’re all pretty curious how I experienced my second week after my previous blog post. Well, things went a bit better, luckily. I was also able to work from home 2 days and this does make a huge difference. At the end of every workday I wasn’t completely exhausted. For now I’ll give it some time and I do hope I’ll get more used to this job and my colleagues a bit more every week.
Okay, last Thursday eve it was finally time for something I really looked forward to: Vogue Downtown 2025. This is a true fashion event on the P.C. Hooftstraat as part of Amsterdam Fashion Week. There was a fashion show and stands from popular brands like, Canada Goose, G-Star, Redken, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Valentino Beauty, YSL, Joe & The Juice and more. I just loved the whole vibe and loved seeing everyone being dressed up so pretty :)
So, Friday was my first full day off after 4 workdays (I work 4 days a week instead of 5: best decision ever!) and I had some fun things planned! First, I had an amazing choco protein bowl at Juicebrothers. Then it was time to pick up some gifts from Chanel Beauty as part of their loyalty program La Collection. I was also looking for some great pair of trousers, but couldn’t really find something that I absolutely loved. In the afternoon I went to Weleda City Spa for a facial treatment (my first beauty experience, since living in Amsterdam!) and I loved it so much. The relaxing environment, the clean products, the neck massage and they even gave me a hand massage! I felt super zen when I left their salon.
The next morning I took my parents around Amsterdam! I always love to show them around. We did fun things like: visiting Concertgebouw OPEN, having a yummy lunch at Viotta, strolling around Waterlooplein Market, visiting Rembrandtplein, Tuschinski Theatre & some book shops (I finally bought Vogue USA 2025 September Issue) and ending the day with some food and tea at Rouhi. It was so wonderful and we all had the best time.
And … today I started with a slow self care morning: a nourishing breakfast, pilates, things like that. After lunch it was time to go to the city to watch Amsterdam City Swim. It was impressive, since it’s all about people raising money for the muscle disease ALS. After cheering on people who were swimming through the canals, I walked to the He Hua Temple for expressing some gratitude. Then it was time to drink a cup of tea, do some shopping (continuing my search for perfect trousers) and buy groceries for the new week.
So, that’s all for now! There’s only one thing left to say: happy new week and don’t forget to prioritize self care♥️
