Hi darlings!
How are you feeling? How did you spend your weekend? Are you ready for a new workweek? It’s almost 8 pm when I’m writing this and I do feel a bit tired, to be honest. Maybe I took too many steps the past few days. There’s just so much to be discovered, so many places to go, hihi.
So, last Friday marked the start of my weekend and I immediately started it right: by going to the new yoga studio I recently discovered for a lovely yoga class! The class itself was really different than last week, a bit more intense, but I really loved it. Afterwards, I treated myself on a healthy juice from Joe & The Juice. It had kale, celery, spinach, lemon and cucumber in it and felt like some kind of a detox juice ;) After I had lunch at my own place, I went to a bookstore (De Slegte) in the city center. The past few days I got caught by a feeling of wanting to read / discover new books, so that Friday it was time to give in to that feeling. I ended up buying books about spirituality and zen Buddhism. Later that day, I also decided to visit Rijksmuseum and the surrounding gardens. Ohh, I also got a compliment about my outfit from a friendly American woman.
Saturday, was all about 24 Hours Zuid. Well, after I cleaned my entire apartment and after I did some yoga at home. So, there were lots of free activities to discover that day. It was hard for me to choose, but in the end I loved visiting GVB (the place were trams are being repaired and ‘parked’) and taking a ride with a historic tram the most. But … the best part of that day was yet to come: eating yummy banana bread & fresh mint tea, hihi.
Having told you all about last Friday and Saturday, brings us to today! This morning my parents came over for lunch and some activities this afternoon. Yesterday, I bought different kinds of bread/pastries, salads, cheese and more, already. I always love having guests over and making sure they have a lovely time. After we had lunch, we went off to the IJ-hallen for an indoor and outdoor flea market. To be honest: like 75% of the products offered, were vintage clothes. That was a bit of a disappointment, but afterwards we had some lovely tea/coffee and apple pie :)
Well, that’s all for now! This evening, I’m gonna relax a bit, before a brand new workweek starts. Next Sunday, I’m going to my first ever ballet performance: Romeo and Juliet. Can’t wait to tell you all about it! Ohh, before I forget: go for it. Do it. Try it. The present moment is all we have♥️
X JJ
