Hi darlings!
It’s Sunday eve, which means: time for a new blog post! I’m really hoping you’ve been looking forward to it, at least I did :)
So, how are you feeling today? You may remember that I felt kinda tired last Sunday? Well, I ended up feeling a bit worse the days after (headache, stomach pain and super tired). Wednesday I couldn’t go to work, but luckily I was able to work from home the day after. I guess my body really needed a break and I’m thankful I was able to give my body what it needed. Thursday eve also marked the start of my weekend! I’m always starting the weekend with wandering around the city center and doing some groceries. Fall vibes are still fully present :)
Friday was all about going to the Marathon Expo Amsterdam at RAI, drinking tea at Rouhi (next to House of Rituals), doing some shopping and having the best samosas ever at ITA Brasserie. In the evening I decided to do some self-care: applying a facial scrub, a sheet-mask, foot mask and watching tv. Ohh, how I love spending cozy evenings at home.
The next day, I followed a breathwork & meditation class for the first time! I just love experiencing new activities. Especially when it comes to spirituality, meditation and yoga kind of things. We were with a group of 7 women and practiced the fire breath and alkaline power breath together for like 10 minutes. Afterwards, it was time for a meditation session of 30 minutes. I saw the most beautiful things and felt super zen when I left the yoga studio. Later that day, I decided to also visit The Stedelijk Museum. When I left the museum I really wanted to stroll through the Rijksmuseum gardens, when I stumbled upon a food stand that sold vegan hot choco. It didn’t took long for me to decide to go for it: and … it … was … so … yummy! That afternoon, I felt super grateful for living in the city I’ve always dreamed of.
And … as promised: today I’d also tell you about how I experienced my first ever ballet performance: Romeo and Juliet at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet. I bought a ticket for the first row, second balcony (left side) a few weeks earlier. The show was wonderful and I loved the classy and elegant vibes. I do, however, recommend buying tickets a bit more central for the best views. At the end of the day I strolled through the city center once more, to prepare for a brand new workweek.
Oh my gosh! This brings us to the end of today’s blog post already! Time flies when you have fun :) If I may give you one last piece of advice: never underestimate yourself. Dare to dream big♥️
