Amsterdam Stories: Christmas Gifts Shopping & More

Hi darlings!

Oops, I forgot to write a blog post yesterday! Well, I didn’t really forgot it! How can I forget about you all :)

Last weekend was kinda busy and yesterday I was busy buying the last Christmas gifts and wrapping them. It took some effort and a bit of stress, but I’m happy with everything I bought. Ohh, I can’t wait to give them to the people I love. It’s just one thing I love to do: buying gifts and showing people I care about them (not only with buying gifts obviously, hihi). I’m also super excited about celebrating Christmas! On Christmas Eve, I’ll be travelling to my parents for dinner at a hotel’s restaurant. The next day I’ll spend at my parents’ house, where my sister, brother-in-law and nephew will also join us for a full day of happiness. Boxing Day will be the day where the three of us will travel back to Amsterdam for a fancy brunch at Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky’s Wintergarden (a chic glasshouse from 1880). Afterwards, we’ll give each other X-mas presents at my place.

So, to be completely honest: I’m also really looking forward to those days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Those relaxing and slow days where you don’t know what day of the week it is and you just live fully in the present. The energy of peace, contentment and gratitude. We’ve made it this far. Another brand new year is coming. We’re ready. I’m already excited for everything 2026 will bring us!

Ohh, before I forget: last Saturday my parents came over for a fun day in the city. We’ve strolled through Christmas markets, visited some shops and had a yummy brunch at Grand Cafe Krasnapolsky. Time flew so fast and before I knew it, they had to leave already. But that’s okay, ’cause many more fun days will come :) Something else I really wanna share with you guys is: I got the chance to buy a ticket for The Nutcracker and the Mouse King ballet performance this Saturday. I’ll tell you all about this and how I experienced Christmas this year in the next blog post!

With only two more workdays to go before the Christmas holidays: I wanna wish you all a very happy loving amazing beautiful healthy blessed merry Christmas!!! And … with that being said, there’s one final thing I want to say: be proud of yourself. You’ve made it this far. Keep going♥️

X JJ
